Privacy notice

This notice explains how SavvyStyle Kids, a small shop based in British Columbia, handles information when you browse, order, subscribe to emails or contact us. Contact info@savvystylekids.com with a privacy question or request.

Information used to run the shop

When you start checkout, we collect the recipient name, email address, delivery address, selected products and order totals. We keep order and payment references, payment status, shipping and tracking details, and records needed for returns, store credit, disputes and customer support. Details may be retained for an attempted or cancelled checkout even if payment is not completed.

If you email us, we receive your message and the information you choose to include. Please do not email card numbers, card security codes or other unnecessary sensitive information. The shop is intended for adult shoppers; we do not ask for children's names or birthdays to sell children's clothing.

Payments, delivery and service providers

Card details are entered into Stripe-hosted payment components and sent to Stripe. Our shop does not receive or store your full card number or card security code. Stripe processes payment and billing information and may collect device and transaction information for payment security and fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy.

InMotion Hosting provides the shop's website, database and email hosting. We share delivery and contact information with the delivery providers needed to fulfil orders and provide tracking. We also use information where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, keep business records or meet legal requirements. Service providers may process information outside your province or Canada, where other laws may apply.

Optional email updates

You can choose to receive SavvyStyle Kids emails about new arrivals, shop updates and occasional offers. The signup asks for your email address and, optionally, your first name. Marketing consent is separate from placing an order and is not preselected.

The signup uses double opt-in: after requesting emails, you receive a confirmation message and must confirm before receiving marketing. We use signup and confirmation records and your unsubscribe preference to manage consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in marketing emails or contact info@savvystylekids.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary order or delivery messages.

The signup sends your email address, optional first name and consent source and version directly from your browser to Klaviyo. Klaviyo processes these details to manage subscriptions, record consent and deliver emails. It also receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser/network information. Marketing emails use Klaviyo's email engagement tools, which may record whether a message is opened and which links are clicked. Klaviyo may associate email link activity with your subscription profile. This is separate from our website integration: we do not install Klaviyo's onsite tracking script or send website browsing or purchase events to Klaviyo. We do not use this signup for SMS or automatically add existing shoppers or contacts to the marketing list.

Cookies, saved bags and technical information

The shop uses a secure session cookie to connect checkout and security checks to your browser. Shopping-bag product identifiers are saved in your browser's local storage; checkout retry information is stored for the browser session. Clearing browser storage removes those saved browser details but does not delete order records held by the shop or Stripe. Blocking this storage may affect checkout or bag persistence.

Website hosting and payment services may record technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, access times and requests for operation and security. The shop has no advertising tags or Klaviyo onsite tracking script. Optional Google Analytics is described below. Links to Instagram and other outside websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Keeping information and protecting access

We use information for the purposes described here and limit access to those who need it to operate the shop or provide its services. We use HTTPS, protected owner access and private server storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for orders, delivery, support, returns, outstanding store-credit balances, accounting, security and legal obligations. Consent and unsubscribe records help us honour your preferences and demonstrate permission to send marketing. Records needed for these purposes may remain after a deletion request. Information in backups may remain until the relevant backup is replaced or securely removed.

Your choices and requests

You can browse without placing an order or subscribing to emails. If you do not provide the details needed for payment and delivery, we cannot complete a purchase. You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, raise a concern, or ask about withdrawing consent or deleting information. We may need to verify your identity and explain any legal or operational limits before acting. Email info@savvystylekids.com; please include only enough information to identify your request.
